During development, multiple graphical Application programming interfaces (APIs) were tested, including 3dfx Glide, OpenGL, and Direct3D. Tools used during development included 3D Studio Max, Alias Wavefront and Autodesk Softimage. The game was developed in-house at LucasArts.
